Our large format service

The right material for where your graphic will go

A poster seen up close, a sign read from the street and a vinyl graphic on a storefront window each have different requirements. We start from the location, the size and how long the graphic needs to last, then choose the material and finish: paper, foam board (foamcore), coroplast, Sintra (PVC), aluminum composite, acrylic, adhesive or perforated vinyl.

Printing, lamination, contour cutting and installation are all handled by our team. Whether you’re a business, a non-profit, an agency, a researcher or an individual, we print a single poster or all the signage for your event.

How it works

From file to finished graphic

Every project goes through these steps. How long each one takes depends on the material, the quantity and your deadline.

  1. Size and location

Tell us the size, the surface and where the graphic will be used. A photo of the location helps us choose the material and finish.

  2. Files and template

Send a PDF, including from Canva. We check resolution for the viewing distance, bleed and colours. If needed, we prepare a full-scale template.

  3. Proof approval

You approve a proof before printing. If a brand colour matters, tell us at the start: colours vary from one material to another.

  4. Printing and finishing

Printing, lamination for outdoor use, contour cutting and mounting on rigid board, all in our shop.

  5. Pickup, delivery or installation

Pick up your order at our reception desk, have it delivered, or have it installed on site when installation is included in your quote.

Before you request a quote

Large format is seen from a distance, then up close. A few details are enough to choose the right material in your first quote.

  1. Start with the location

Indoors or outdoors, applied to a surface, hung or set in a frame: a photo of the spot gives us context your file can’t.

  2. Viewing distance

A sign read from several metres away doesn’t need the same resolution as a window seen up close. We assess your file against its final size and viewing distance.

  3. How long it stays up

A few days for a conference, a season outdoors or several years in a window: the expected lifespan guides the choice of material and finish.

  4. A home-made design or an image from the web

Export your Canva design as a PDF. If your image comes from a website or a small document, send it with the size you need and we’ll tell you whether it will hold up at full scale.

FAQ

What people ask before printing large format

Materials, files, quantities and installation. If your question isn't here, write to us.

Rigid substrates: foam board (foamcore), coroplast, acrylic (Plexiglas), styrene, Sintra (expanded PVC), wood and Alupanel (aluminum composite, similar to Dibond). Flexible media: adhesive vinyl, perforated vinyl, paper, static cling and backlit film.

For indoor use (welcome signs, seating charts, tabletop posters), foam board is light and easy to set up. For outdoor use (yard signs, construction sites, outdoor events), coroplast stands up to the weather. Sintra (expanded PVC) and Alupanel are more rigid and suited to long-term signage.

There is no minimum. Our HP Indigo press prints from a single copy, and we print a single poster or sign in large format. The only exception is labels and stickers, which start at 250 units.

Prints on paper, vinyl, foam board, Eagle Cell, Sintra, styrene and adhesive vinyl, including conference posters and display posters.

The most requested: 11 × 17 in. (tabloid, 27.9 × 43.2 cm), 18 × 24 in. (45.7 × 61 cm), 24 × 36 in. (61 × 91.4 cm), A1 (594 × 841 mm, 23.4 × 33.1 in.) and A0 (841 × 1189 mm, 33.1 × 46.8 in.). We also print any custom size.
