Packaging Prototypes and Mock-Ups

Boxes, gift boxes, sleeves and labels: we make printed packaging mock-ups and prototypes that look like your final product, at our downtown Montreal shop. From a single box, with structural design and cutting in-house.

Our prototyping service

See and hold your packaging before production

A mock-up helps you validate a format, pitch a concept to a client, run a photo shoot or test packaging on the shelf. We start from your dieline, or create the structural design for you, then print and cut the mock-up on the board you choose, including recyclable options.

We make printed prototypes: boxes, gift boxes, labels and all kinds of packaging, as well as complete board game prototypes. We don’t do industrial product prototyping. Agencies, brands, designers and entrepreneurs: we can also assemble, kit and ship your orders.

How it works

From idea to mock-up

Every project goes through these steps. How long each one takes depends on the complexity of the structure and the quantity.

  1. Product and purpose

Describe the product to package, its size and what the mock-up is for: photos, a pitch or testing.

  2. Structure and dieline

Supply your dieline, or we create the structural design. A supplied dieline remains your responsibility.

  3. Sample

If needed, a first physical sample validates the structure before final printing. Its cost depends on complexity.

  4. Printing, cutting and assembly

Printing, cutting digitally or with our existing dies, folding and assembly.

  5. Delivery or shipping

Pickup at our shop, delivery, or assembly, kitting and shipping to your customers.

Before you request a quote

A few details are enough to suggest the right structure in your first quote.

  1. The product

The product's size, weight and fragility determine the packaging structure.

  2. What the mock-up is for

A photo shoot, a client pitch or a shelf test don't call for the same level of finish.

  3. The dieline

Have one? Attach it. If not, a photo of a reference package helps us suggest a structure.

  4. Number of versions

A single mock-up, or several versions to compare? Tell us at the start so we can choose the right board.
